This research was conducted in accordance with the important instructions of the main leading comrades of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on the important proposal of the 12th Provincial Party Congress - "Proposal on Taking the Construction of a National Advanced Hard Material Industry Cluster as an Important Support for Building a National Important Advanced Manufacturing Highland", as well as the spirit of the relevant work conference on the construction of the advanced hard material industry cluster in our province. Led by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial Industry and Information Technology Industry Affairs Center was specifically responsible for the research. The research objects included some key production enterprises, high-end user enterprises and scientific research institutions of advanced hard materials in the province, and Boyun Oriental was the first stop of this research.

At the forum, Deputy Director Jiang Jiaxin stated: This research is a detailed investigation into the development of the advanced hard material industry of various units in accordance with the important instructions of Vice Governor Chen Fei. It is understood that the cemented carbide market has broad prospects and can be applied to machinery and equipment, rail transit, aerospace and other industries. Enterprises like Boyun Oriental have significant advantages in the industry, but at present, some terminal customers still use foreign brands. We need to accelerate the construction of a national advanced hard material industry cluster, form supporting advantages, realize the import substitution of advanced hard material products, and provide strong guarantee for the construction of our province's "3+3+2" industrial cluster system and the building of a national advanced manufacturing highland.

Chairman Li Yongxia introduced: The source of technological output of cemented carbide is Central South University. The nano-cemented carbide and ultra-coarse grain cemented carbide developed by Boyun Oriental, which closely relies on the scientific research strength of Central South University and Academician Huang Boyun, are high-end products with core competitiveness in the industry, and the products are exported to Europe, America, Japan and other countries and regions. Boyun Oriental has also achieved very successful cooperation with Hunan enterprises such as CRCC Heavy Industry, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology and Sunward Intelligent. The shield machine cemented carbide products have been successfully applied to CRCC Heavy Industry's domestically-made largest-diameter "Jinghua Hao" and China's deepest undersea tunnel "Shenjiang No.1" shield machines. At present, the urgent problem to be solved by Boyun Oriental is insufficient production capacity. The under-construction high-performance cemented carbide industrialization project at Lugu Base of Boyun Oriental will significantly increase the production capacity of Boyun Oriental's high-end cemented carbide to meet market demand. We hope to continue to receive strong support from governments at all levels in terms of intelligent manufacturing.

It is hoped that enterprises like Boyun Oriental can fully utilize their own advantages, attract more industry resources, and contribute pioneering forces to the rapid development of Hunan's advanced hard material industry!
